Q + A
What's the timeline for Friday?
Friday, November 8th:
This day will be for immediate family, in which we follow a private courthouse ceremony with a "Meet the Family" dinner reception to introduce our families to each other and celebrate the joining of the Lewis-Fergusons and Shaws for the first time!
So where do extended family and friends come in?
Saturday, November 9th: It's party time! We invite our extended family and friends to grab your boots and hats and join us as we hit the Fort Worth Stockyards and dance the night away in our full wedding gear, Texas-style!
What else do we need to know? Any other times for us to all be together?
Sunday, November 10th: Come join us for one last hug and raise your coffee cups and mimosa glasses to toast the newlyweds in a Friends and Family Brunch at Shaw's Patio Bar & Grill before we all head home to start our new lives!
What else is there to do?
Because the weekend will be a combination of togetherness and free time, we invite you to check out the "Things to Do" section of our website. We may be a little bit biased, but if you have the time, Fort Worth makes for an excellent mini-vacation with history, art, food, shopping, and all kinds of adventure! You'll never experience a city like Fort Worth, it has a heart and spirit that is completely unique while still being SO Texas!
Where should I book a hotel?
The main action will be located in and around Downtown Fort Worth, the Stockyards, and Magnolia Avenue so we recommend finding something close to those areas if you want to Uber back and forth instead of dealing with parking!
Are we bringing our kids?
We love your babies, but many of the places we will be celebrating are not the best places for little ones. We recommend childcare for your children under 16 years of age to keep them safe and allow you the freedom to relax and dance with us!
Will we have a group dinner Saturday night?
We’re opening up this event to all of our loved ones to join us as we dance the night away in a celebration of family and fellowship. Because the Stockyard Stomp will be come-and-go as you like, a group meal for this event will not be provided. If you would like recommendations for dinner and snacks let us know and we can give you a list of our favorites!
