What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at 4:30pm to make sure you have time to park, take in the beauty of the scenery, and get seated. We want this party to start on time!
What should guests wear?
We have chosen a semi-formal attire, so ladies should wear cocktail dresses and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat!
What's for dinner?
We will have beef medallions, herb crusted chicken breast, Caesar salad, green bean almandine, maple glazed carrots, and herb roasted red potatoes.
And for dessert, we'll have have our wedding cake, grooms cake, and a dozen gluten-free cupcakes available!
If you have any special dietary restrictions, please plan ahead accordingly.
What are your wedding colors?
Our main color is a dark, emerald green. We'll also have accents of gold, deep red, light pink, and cream. You can't go wrong with a jewel-tone dress or a gray, black, or navy suit.
Are children or plus-ones allowed?
The number of seats we have reserved for your family will be listed on the RSVP card. Children and plus-ones are taken into consideration in that number.
Are phones welcome at the ceremony?
While we love a good candid shot at the reception, we are having an unplugged ceremony. That means no phones, no cameras, no iPads, etc. We have paid a lot of money to hire professional photographers and videographers, and if you mess up their shots just remember I have your mailing address...
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Any photos you take before or after the ceremony are welcome! Please use our wedding hashtag #MeantToBeePalmers when you post so we can keep track of them all.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party and close family will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head over to the reception hall for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served around 6:45pm.
May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?
ASK FIRST. We think it's so sweet of you to want to take a piece of our day home with you to remember it by. However, some things are rentals, some things are the property of Whitestone, some things we or our immediate family want to keep, so just ask first before taking anything. Otherwise it's just stealing and I will have to track you down, and neither of us want that.
Where should I park?
Parking is free, and the lots are highlighted in the map above. If you are not staying on property, please enter through the yellow highlighted road and park. If you are staying on property, please enter through the blue highlighted road and park.
Please note: overnight parking is only allowed for guests staying on property.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
It will likely be a bit chilly, so make sure you bring a sweater or jacket. Late October weather in Tennessee tends to be around 65 for highs and 50 for lows.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and the reception will be held indoors, although you will have to walk outside to get between the two. Cocktail hour will be on the porch outside the reception hall, but you will also have the option to go inside.
How many guests will be attending?
We are expecting around 100 guests, including children.
Are guests required to wear masks?
No, guests are not required to wear masks. You are free to do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. Daniel and I will not be wearing them.
