Daniel and I met on February 14th, 2015 (Valentine's Day!) while playing video games! A mutual friend had encouraged me to try out a new game with some of his friends, and that is when I met Daniel! I fell in love with his voice and his laughter over those first few months of our budding friendship. We exchanged numbers, and met for the first time that summer at Dollywood with the same group of video game friends. On August 27, 2015 Daniel officially asked me to be his girlfriend and we started dating! We are each other's first (and last) relationship!

For our first year together, we were long distance. I was in my first year of college in Chattanooga and Daniel was living in Oak Ridge and taking college classes there. As our relationship grew that first year, we decided that Daniel should apply to the same college I was at and move down to Chattanooga.

We really grew up together over those 3 years at UTC. Becoming young adults and changing everyday, we worked hard to grow together instead of apart. We knew we wanted to get married, but we wanted to wait until the right time. Both of us wanted to graduate and get our feet under us first before we got engaged. To be honest though, I have had our wedding date on my calendar since 2016 so the "right time" was pretty well planned out!

With college degrees and full-time jobs, Daniel and I thought we were officially "ready" to start seriously shopping engagement rings! I narrowed down my Pinterest board to a select few with some heavy hinting on my favorite.

On our four and a half year anniversary, Daniel took me out to a beautiful local pasta restaurant. Afterwards, we walked along Chattanooga's gorgeous RiverWalk and in a quiet spot, Daniel got down on one knee and proposed while the sun was setting. Daniel was so nervous that he dropped the ring box, but the ring was completely fine and it made the moment feel more like us!

We have been together for a long time, and have experienced a lot together. We even just bought our first house in September 2020 and added a new member to our little family in February 2021 when we got our mini Aussie, Enzo! The next few years for us will be filled with traveling and spending quality time together and with family. Just in case you were thinking of it or were planning on asking one of us, no, we are not planning on having kids in the next few years. I repeat, NO, WE ARE NOT PLANNING ON HAVING KIDS IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS. Check back in when we are in our thirties!

On our wedding day, we will have been together for a little over 6 years (2,256 days to be exact!). To say the least, we have waited a long time for this day! We hope you will be able to celebrate with us, and we can't wait to see you!
