The Bend Elks are our local wood bat baseball team. General admission tickets are about $10 and a fun way to spend a sunny evening.
Smith Rock State Park
Smith Rock is located about 40 minutes outside of Bend but absolutely worth the drive. You can choose to go on one of the many hikes, watch the rock climbers or just enjoy the views at sunset.
Tumalo Falls
Depending on snow fall the road to the falls may not be open yet but if you are up to a 6 mile hike it is a great way to see why we love Bend so much.
Float The Deschutes
Starting from Riverbend Park in the Old Mill District you can hop on your inner tube and float to Down town. This float is about 1.5 hours. Inner tubes can be rented through Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe.
Pilot Butte
Hike or drive up Pilot Butte for 365 degree views of Bend.
Cascade Lakes Highway
If the highway is open take a drive up through Cascade Lakes Highway and enjoy views of Mt. Bachelor, The Sisters and Broken Top. If you are feeling brave, take a dip in one of our crystal clear alpine lakes.
Breweries
You can’t come to Bend without stopping at one of our many breweries. Our favorites are Silvermoon, Crux, Boneyard, Worthy, Cascade Lakes, Deschutes Brewery and Bend Brewing Company.
Eat your way through town
Bend has plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from but here are some of our favorites: Hablos tacos, El Sanchos, Wild Rose, Brother John’s, 5 Fusion, Zydeco, Spork, Lemon tree, The Victorian, 900 Wall, Pine tavern, and Bend Burger Company. Bend is very busy in June, I highly recommend making a reservation.
Bend is also popular for their food trucks and tap houses. This is a great option for larger groups who want to eat different types of foods. Our favorites are Mid-town Yacht club, On Tap, Rivers place and The Lot.
