Aaron and Kerry met on New Years Eve 2022 at Silverado's Saloon in West Salem, a bar neither of us had ever been to before. We had both just decided to take a break from the dating scene when we met! We talked for hours and bonded over our mutual love of travel, dogs and bad dad jokes. 🤣 Our first date was a few days later at a local restaurant, Features in West Salem, where the conversation flowed and time seemed to pass by without us even noticing. Aaron had chosen a West Salem restaurant thinking that Kerry lived in that area since that is the town where we met, and Kerry realized while on her way from La Crosse to meet Aaron, that Features has two locations and hoped that she was headed to the correct one! Thankfully, Aaron and Kerry were both thinking of the same West Salem location.

Aaron proposed after a nice walk on the beach near his apartment. We were going to take Kerry's dog, Willow, on a regular normal walk around the neighborhood, when Aaron suggested walking her at Airport Beach instead. Kerry had no idea that he was about to propose and happily said Yes! Aaron's son, Lucas, was with him when he chose her ring, so he was back at their apartment grinning from ear to ear, waiting to hear the good news.

Aaron and Kerry decided to do a two year engagement to give both of them enough time to enjoy wedding planning and all the joys that come with that.
