This tour requires someone to be able to get in and out of a boat at the lake and to walk around the villages. Some of the villages have hills, and there are accessibility options. As an introduction to Antigua, our friends at Due South Travels are organizing groups of walking tours for us. This is a two-hour walking tour to visit the breathtaking landmarks that make Antigua famous. During this tour, everyone will learn about Antigua's history, interesting facts about Guatemala, details about the Mayan culture, and why many of the beautiful sites in Antigua are so important. The cost for this tour is $20 per person, and we will split everyone into groups so that families, friends, and Liverpool supporters can be together. Please note that this is a walking tour for 2-3 hours. If you have accessibility concerns, then there are two options. You can request with Due South Travels to book a private tour just for your group. With a private tour, the group can walk slowly and sometimes stop in places with benches. The other option is to book an Antigua tour with an electric carriage. This option is with another company called Transportes Eléctricos De Antigua. They can be contacted on WhatsApp at +502-3022-0092. The carriage tour is only 45 minutes long and not as lengthy as the walking tour. It costs $14 per person. We will likely leave Antigua at 8 am or 9 am and arrive in Panajachel, Lake Atitlán after 2 or 3 hours. On this date, our guests who are still in Guatemala will return to the airport to fly to Flores (Tikal) or to return home. Due South Travels will provide the transfers in the morning from Lake Atitlan to Guatemala City. The drive from Lake Atitlán to Guatemala City takes approximately 3 hours.
