Our Story Kevin and Louise's paths first crossed while they were both serving on the board of a local nonprofit organization. Their initial meeting didn’t ignite any sparks; in fact, it was far from their&nbsp;thoughts. However, as time passed, Kevin began to see something special in Louise—something that caught his eye.Unfortunately, Louise - being the professional that she is - didn’t pick up on Kevin’s interest right away! Undeterred, Kevin became more creative in his efforts to win Louise’s attention and started showing up at random events and making small talk. Each interaction piqued the other's interest - and brought lots of laughs! The turning point came when Kevin invited Louise to his radio show's anniversary party. Louise had begun listening to&nbsp;Sports Shop with Reese and KMac&nbsp;and despite her lack of interest in sports generally, she wanted to know more about KMac. She said yes, and that was the beginning of a beautiful connection. As the months rolled on, Kevin and Louise discovered an incredible bond, filled with shared interests and laughter. One day, Louise boldly asked, “So, are we dating?” Kevin’s heart leaped as he replied, “Of course! Took you long enough!” Louise soon introduced Kevin to her family and friends, presenting him with a long list of names. Little did she know, Kevin embraced this challenge with open arms, eager to learn more about the people that shaped her life. Each family gathering, birthday celebration, and sibling meetup brought them closer, solidifying the realization that Louise was the woman who would change his life forever. After several unforgettable vacations and weekend getaways, it was time for Louise to meet Kevin’s family beyond the confines of phone calls and video chats. They decided to bring eight of Kevin's family members from Mississippi to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for a week of bonding and fun—what an adventure that turned out to be! Through these experiences, Louise discovered that Kevin’s love for his children and family wasn’t just a statement; it was a way of life. Kevin and Louise's journey together has been filled with laughter, love, and a deepening faith that has guided them every step of the way. As Kevin and Louise prepare to say “I do,” they are grateful for the grace that brought them together and the faith that continues to strengthen their love. Thank you for being part of their story; They can’t wait to celebrate their special day with you! Kevin and Louise's love story is one of serendipity, grace, and divine timing, unfolding in ways they never could have imagined and for that, they are so grateful!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?Our entire wedding celebration will be at the same venue. The ceremony and the cocktail hour will be held outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be indoors. Guests will have access to the venue&nbsp;until 10:45pm.&nbsp;Where should I park?The venue has plenty of on-site parking available. If possible, feel free to carpool!&nbsp;What time should I arrive?The ceremony will begin promptly&nbsp;at 4:30 pm - please be seated by&nbsp;4:15 pm.&nbsp;What should I wear?We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting semi-formal attire, preferably light pastels. Please no jeans, t-shirts, or polos.&nbsp;Can I bring a date?Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you and a guest are invited, it will appear beside your name on your invitation.&nbsp;Are kids welcome?As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them as ceremony or reception guests. We encourage you to use this evening as a fun night out as this will be an adult-only event!&nbsp;Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?While we are not having a fully “unplugged" ceremony, we kindly ask that no live broadcasts be initiated or recorded and please be mindful of the professional photographers and videographers. The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say our I do's.&nbsp;What will the weather be like?Welcome to North Carolina, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Raleigh should be beautiful. You can expect the temperate to be at least 66+ degrees.&nbsp;When is the RSVP deadline?Please RSVP by&nbsp;February 24th, so we can have an accurate headcount.&nbsp;What should I do if I cannot make it?You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Please do not offer your invitation to a friend, acquaintance or a mutual friend or family member. Thank you.&nbsp;What happens if I do not RSVP in time?If we do not receive your RSVP back by the date we requested, it will be marked as a "NO". We will miss you celebrating with us; however, we must provide a total headcount to all of our vendors and we cannot accommodate late RSVPs. Thank you for understanding.

Michael Colyar&nbsp;is a multi-talented, actor, comedian, and author. Michael is no stranger to work as he is still packing out shows in major cities night after night. His wit, charm, and unique sense of style has been captivating audiences since the 80’s. Michael consistently performed every weekend — 5 shows a day on Venice Beach — and was rightfully dubbed the “King of Venice Beach” while performing 9 years straight. His fans can’t get enough of him. “He’s real,” “down to earth,” “a giver,” they say. Michael’s philanthropic legacy extends beyond his $100K win from "Star Search" of which he gave 50% to the homeless. Today, Michael still finds the time to share laughter with those in need in shelters, rehabilitation centers, schools, and military bases. Michael Colyar is best known for his starring roles in "Black-ish," "House Party III," "Norbit," "The Princess &amp; The Frog," and his role as Mr. Whitaker on the hit television series “Martin.”

Becoming the McClendons Your keepsake candle&nbsp; The scent of this custom candle is as sweet as its occasion and as unique as the couple it embodies.&nbsp; It is based in sweet olive, which can be found all over Kevin’s hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is then balanced with tobacco leaf - reminiscent of a good smoke, whether by cigar or Kevin’s culinary talent - and black currant which is strong and hearty, added for obvious reasons.&nbsp;Finally, our candle is buoyed by brown sugar to pay homage to Louise’s roots in the sweet potatoes and country ham of Smithfield, North Carolina.&nbsp; Thank you for sharing this day with us and please continue to celebrate our sweet love when you light the candle - and listen to our wedding playlist (found by scanning the QR code on the lid.)
