The Wedding will take place on a Monday, so you have all weekend to make your plans! I would recommend getting into Honolulu before Sunday. Sunday is the Honolulu marathon, and part of the route is in front of the hotel. Roads will be blocked until 2-3 pm (maybe earlier). So, it will be a great day to hang out and enjoy the resort before the festivities begin!

I would recommend to book as soon as you know you and your partner are able to come. As mentioned in another question, it is the weekend of the Honolulu marathon and hotels and resorts will book up! The room block should available to all those able to attend. At a certain point, they will release rooms to the public, so i would book as soon as you can!

No, you are not required to stay the resort. There are airbnb, VRBO, and other resorts/hotels within 20 min. from the resort. It would be easier (and likely cheaper with the room block) to stay at the resort we are having the event at.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to Waikiki and Ala Moana mall. There is also a shuttle service to and from the airport. If you want to explore the island, we highly recommend, rent a car through turo or any rental company.
