Will you need to rent a car?

Traffic in Nashville has gotten progressively worse as the city has grown. The wedding venue is walking distance (0.25 mile) from the recommended hotels in the Midtown/Vanderbilt neighborhoods of Nashville. That being said, weather is unpredictable and you may want to bring along a pair of comfortable shoes to change into. Most of the hotels in this area offer a free shuttle to the venue and even to downtown, but you will need to ask for this at the hotel once you are there and it may be on a limited basis. The distance from the midtown/Vanderbilt hotel area to the Welcome party/rehearsal dinner (Tee Line Nashville Bar/Restaurant) is 5 miles and will definitely require a car ride but there are tons of Ubers, Lyfts, and taxi cabs in the city so it is definitely possible to get to the rehearsal dinner, wedding venue, and any city activities without renting a car. We are happy to connect rides with people who may want to share or need assistance. That being said, renting a car is also always an option and will provide opportunities to explore the city. A note about city parking: parking has become a "nightmare" especially in the downtown area as new parking meter restrictions have been enforced and private lots are expensive and somewhat complicated.

What is the attire?

For us, at least, there are very few opportunities in our life to wear fancy clothes. As this is a once in our lifetime event, we would like to put on a show and dress up. Therefore, we kindly request dressy attire for this event. Tuxedos not are necessary, but suits and fancy dress are requested.

What are the religious aspects of this wedding?

Mazy was raised in the Jewish religion and Kevin has been raised with the Catholic faith. The couple maintains their respective religious practices, and while neither is actively practicing, to them it is important to incorporate aspects of both traditions in the ceremony.

A Note About Politics and the Beauty of Finding Common Ground

Mazy and Kevin represent what is beautiful about America. That two very different people, with very different believes and backgrounds can find each other and find true love and friendship. We kindly request that our guest refrain from any discussion of politics, controversial topics, or divisive rhetoric throughout our weekend so that we can truly celebrate our love and the happiness that bring us all together.
