We recommend booking your transportation to/from the airport ahead of time through a private car company, as Uber/Lyft are not readily available the way they are in the States. Please note a car rental is not necessary, as the town of San Miguel is very walkable!

The Queretaro airport is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. There are a few flights a day on various airlines and international Customs (Aduana) services. QRO has much more of a straight path/road to SMA than BJX so if you get motion sickness, book here.

The Leon airport is about an hour and thirty minutes from SMA. It is by far the most used for people traveling to SMA because of the flight options, but the road to San Miguel is windy/curvy so if you get car sick, go with QRO (both are nice and safe). There are a few flights a day on various airlines and international Customs (Aduana) services.
