What should I wear?

Dress up your comfy casual forest chic attire. The wedding is in the woods on a lake, so it would be wise to avoid heels and other footwear that might be unstable. With the hopes that the weather is nice, we will primarily be outside, so it might be wise to bring a light jacket of sorts for the evening time. Lows in the Poconos in the summer can go down to the 50s. Kim and Mike are huge nature people, so dress in your favorite floral outfits. The wedding party will be dressed in green, brown and yellow so you may want to bring your own unique flavor to the party.

Can I park onsite?

Yes - the venue is technically equipped to handle all guests. However, to minimize environmental impact, drinking and driving, and on dark, country roads, we recommend that you take the shuttle. Also, if you choose to leave early, vehicle lights and noise can be intrusive to the party vibe. BUT, do what you gotta do!

Can I swim/boat there?

Yes! Lake Wallenpaupack is a 1 and 3/8 mile hike on the trails located right on the property. There is a rocky, remote swimming beach there and otherwise a 20 minute drive to public access, sandy beach access on the lake. Unfortunately, no swimming or boating at Lake Lacawac on the venue property. Since the venue is at an education center, they use the lake for research and it is therefore, off limits for swimming and boating.

Will there be alcohol?

HA HA. Yes.

Am I using the woods as my bathroom?

Well, weren't you looking for a rugged experience? There are normal bathrooms and composting toilets.

How do I know if I am invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Let us know if you are interested in attending!
