Getting To Cape Town 

There are two main ways to get around Cape Town and these include:Car Hire and Ubers, both of which are cheap easy options. Car Hire: You can hire a car through the normal hiring groups at the airport (Hertz, Avis, Europcar etc). Driving is on the UK side of the road – make sure you have cell data (organizeroaming or a sim before you go as you will need this for maps). If you are with standard UK networks such as Vodaphone/O2 you can usually pay an extra £2-£3 a day for data, but double check this before travelling. Uber is easy to use in Cape Town but will be difficult in Franschhoek so best to rent a car to get to the wedding party.

Robben Island is located 12 kilometers off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa. For decades,&nbsp;it was home to a maximum-security prison where political prisoners were incarcerated during apartheid. Nelson Mandela—the first black president of South Africa, elected in 1994— served 18 years in prison on Robben Island.

It is a popular tourist spot&nbsp;because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. These African penguins are only found on the coastlines of Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia). These penguins are currently endangered.

The V&amp;A Waterfront is a mixed-use destination located in the oldest working harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. With Table Mountain as its backdrop, the 123-hectare neighbourhood is located within the Cape Town, South Africa, where millions of people visit each year.

It is quite a lot smaller and is suitable for people who appreciate a little more privacy as it's not nearly as busy as its neighbour.
