No booking or reservations required! Check out different areas of the state park, and make sure to stop at the Deception Pass bridge for some great views!
This is the site of an old military fort used during World War I. You'll have views of the Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains, & Mount Rainier from here. If you see a Ranger on duty and his name is Andrew, say hi for me! We went through the academy together.
Great place to stop for lunch after exploring Fort Casey. Get a window seat! You'll have views of the Coupeville Ferry coming in and out throughout your meal.
The first Starbucks is located here too!
My FAVORITE pizza place! They have great beer too. I used to hang out here constantly with my academy friends.
Another great brewery with yummy BBQ and beer. Another frequented place of mine!
Drive to the top to get great views of Anacortes and Mount Baker.
If you feel like hiking, take the scenic Chuckanut Drive to the Oyster Dome Trailhead - it's a hike alright. Awesome views of the surrounding mountain chains and Bellingham Bay below. Head to Bellingham afterwards to grab some lunch!
So many different hiking spots to check out here.
Great food at this bar! The rueben is to die for.
Another great place for food! Owned by the same people who run Train Wreck Bar & Grill. A little local secret - if the train comes through while you're dining you get free shots (or maybe just discounted?) - ask your waiter!
Good breakfast/brunch spot with the best cinnamon rolls!
