Q + A

Are children invited?

We have lots of friends and family we want to celebrate with, but will be extremely limited on children because of capacity and $$. We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 18 on our wedding day. We will be able to help with childcare and will have a few trusted people who are willing to provide babysitting services. Please reach out if you will need this!

What is the dress code?

We are asking everyone to come dressed black-tie optional/formal. What does this mean? Think of black-tie-optional guest attire as a fusion between black-tie and formal fashion. You can wear a tuxedo or a floor-length evening gown if you want, but a dark suit with dress pants and nice loafers would be acceptable too. Similarly, a knee-length or midi cocktail dress would also be appropriate instead of a floor-length gown. But think, fancy dress, tux or suit!

When will formal invites come out and how? When is the RSVP cutoff?

We are planning to send out virtual invites in January and you will need to officially RSVP online. We will be sending out how many invites each family has. We are asking to have final numbers by March 8th. If your RSVP isn’t in by then, we will assume you are not coming.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?

Unfortunately we will not have formal transportation, so are asking people to drive or Uber. For those out of town guest, the venue will not be too far from the suggested hotels we have blocked.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of dinner?

Yes! We will have a formal sit down meal and you will need to select your dish when we send out formal invitations.

Will there be gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options?

Yes! When the RSVP goes out you will need to select your dish. Please be clear if you have dietary restrictions and what they are.

Where should guest park? Is parking free?

Yes parking is free and there is plenty in front of the venue. Even has electric chargers for those with electric cars.

What time should I arrive?

We will be starting promptly at 3:30pm so we recommend you arrive an hour or so before the event. Our ceremony will be about an hour because we want to incorporate a time for worship through song.

What is the weather like typically in NJ during this time?

As most weather these days, it’s unpredictable. Hoping for a nice high to mid 60’s. It may be a bit chilly, so you may want to bring a sweater, shawl or jacket. There will be heating lamps if it’s a bit too chilly. Our ceremony will be outside (unless the weather is bad) and the reception will be inside. We will have fire pits outside to enjoy time outside during the reception.
