So why New Jersey?
For those who do not know, I (Kim) was born and raised in NJ! Andrew has family connections in NJ as well. I have been living overseas for almost 8 years and Andrew lives in Texas, but is from Florida. As we considered where to marry, mom really pushed NJ and she won! Many people are coming from out of town and even outside the country and NJ is a strategic place as it’s close to both Philadelphia and NYC and we are hoping friends can make a little vacay out of it. Plus, the NJ shore (beach) is a fun place to visit, even at the end of April!
Atlantic City
If you like the beach, good food, casinos and a boardwalk then Atlantic City is for you! It’s only about 45 min from the venue area.
Philadelphia
From Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed to the Liberty Bell and beyond, there is so much to do in Philly. Visit the Art Museum and climb the famous Rocky stairs and grab a yummy cheesesteak at either Geno or Pat’s (both overrated but you have to try it for yourself). For families, the Philadelphia Zoo is a blast! If you’re a foodie, you can’t miss the Reading Terminal Market.
