What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by or before June 1st via the RSVP tab, but if you know that you can't attend, we would greatly appreciate if you could please let us know ASAP!
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both! The ceremony will be held outside on the grass (skip the stiletto heels for this one) and the reception will be inside of a heated barn (but bring a coat too).
Are kids invited?
We are keeping this celebration ages 10 and up. We will not have any child-specific areas, activities, or food. For babysitting services, check out jacksonholebabysitting.com.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Mountain Cocktail. We want you to feel good in what you are wearing and the groom would never require anyone to wear a full suit and tie who doesn't want to ;) Please leave the stilettos at home, as the ceremony and pictures will take place outside on the grass. When it comes to footwear: the more comfortable, the better because the bride will require you to dance. And PLEASE bring a coat! Come rain, shine, or snow (yes, even in September) the wedding must go on.
Will there be an open bar?
For the wedding, yes - drinks are on us! For the welcome drinks the night before, you will be responsible for your own beverages.
How do I get to the ranch?
We highly recommend you use the transportation we are providing from the overnight parking garage in downtown Jackson (just don't park on the top level overnight). It is a 45+ minute drive through a wildlife heavy area of Grand Teton National Park, so we respectfully request that if you plan on drinking even a little to please not drive.
There are about 3 Uber drivers in Jackson and cabs to/from the park will be expensive and will likely take a while to arrive. Cabs or Uber to/from the parking garage in town will be much more accessible.
Can I take photos on my phone or camera?
We've hired a photographer to capture our day and will be asking for a fully unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from all electronics until cocktail hour. After the ceremony, we'd love you to share your pictures with us using the QR code on the back of your table number.
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
The venue requires that our reception end at 10, which is already past the bride and groom's bedtime, but if you're looking to keep the party going, we recommend checking out the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar on the town square if you haven't sat in the saddles yet.
What is the weather like there?
If you want to watch the weather, the closest town to the venue is Moran, Wyoming. At a slightly higher altitude than the town of Jackson proper, the mean daily temperature for the month of September is 50˚F, with a high of 66˚ and low of 34˚. Know for your entire time here in the mountains that when the sun goes down, the temperature will drop significantly and quickly.
Does the altitude really make a difference?
Yes! The town of Jackson sits at 6,237 feet above sea level and the ranch is close to 7,000 feet above sea level. If you are coming from a significantly lower elevation, please be sure to drink extra water before and during your trip. Take it slow at the wedding because you will feel the effects of alcohol faster than usual. Take it easy - physical activity will feel a harder than usual, so don't worry about your usual mile time while you're here.
