Lynchburg is home to a variety of small shops, restaurants, cafes, museums and a variety of outdoor activities. It is a historical and beautiful city we hope you will take the time to explore. Below, we have provided a few of the many things to see and do while you are here!
Sharp Top is one of the 2 peaks that make up "The Peaks of Otter" located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a short but rigorous hike that is one of our favorites in the area. There is also a shuttle bus close to the top, if hiking isn't for you! It is about a 45 minute drive from Lynchburg.
If you are a history buff, The Memorial is a destination that highlights the gravity of D-Day and brings to life the high cost of the freedom we enjoy today. Adam's Granddaddy, Jack Conner, has a memorial brick at the site.
Located just up the mountain is the Snowflex Centre. This is an outdoor year round ski slope, if you're feeling adventurous!
The Blackwater Creek Trail is a great place to get out and explore the beautiful city of Lynchburg. The trail is paved and runs along the Blackwater Creek through abandoned railyard beds and across the James River.
