WEATHER WARNING
Make sure you bring warm clothes.
Sylt is an island directly facing the North Sea. Approximately the same latitude as south Scotland. Things tend to get pretty cold and unpredictable all year round. Based on historical data, temperatures can range from 0 - 20 degrees Celsius in early May. We recommend going for layers, bringing items you can layer up/down to suit the changing weather.
Please keep a close eye on the weather forecast 1 - 2 weeks prior to arriving.
For the ceremony:
A smartish warm coat or wraparound, as the ceremony itself will be conducted outdoors by a cliff.
Relatively comfy shoes will also be beneficial. The walk from the Landhaus to the ceremony can be a sandy one. Heels are best saved for indoors during reception and dinner time!
