Our Story

The Beginning

Alex and Krissy met in 2007, on the first day of 7th grade in Homeroom. Alex was talking to his buddy Tyler, and Krissy walked in looking for some familiar faces. She found her childhood friend Kate, and the rest of the day was only eventful so far as the first day back to school ever is. It wasn't until a little later in the year that Alex and Krissy got to the first step in a best friendship that turned to more - the video game Halo.

Their friendship lasted through the rest of middle school and all through high school. Alas, with both of them headed off to college, they naturally drifted apart, always holding a fondness for each other in their hearts.

Rekindling Their Relationship

After college, Alex and Krissy got back in touch. It all started with a snapchat from Ryan at Buffalo Wild Wings, and the rest was history (thanks man). It took a leap of faith and some communication, but their feelings for each other were stronger than ever. Their instincts were right - they were meant to be.

The Next Chapter

After 2 years together, Alex and Krissy found a perfect space to call home. After their six month long wait to get a couch, Krissy's pestering finally paid off. Alex agreed to get a cat. Meriden Humane Society had plenty of cats for them to choose from, and that was the day they found Piccolo.

In August of 2022, Alex, Krissy, and the DeNardo's planned a trip to England and Scotland. Little did Krissy know, that was the trip Alex intended to propose on. After weeks of scheming for the perfect place at the perfect time, he landed on Langley Castle, where they would be celebrating Nick and Tilly's wedding. Entrusting the ring to his mom Joy to hide in their luggage, Alex and Krissy made the trek up to Hexham to join the rest of the family.

After returning from their trip, the newly engaged couple decided to keep the winds of change rolling. Out of happenstance and much sooner than Alex anticipated, another member of their family was brought home. Alex made the journey out to Tennessee and returned with Caesar, a Blue Point Siamese. From there, so much love, laughter, and growth has come from their home. Krissy graduated with her Master's degree and found a job she truly loves. Alex hit his stride in his career at Cigna, and somehow manages to keep both cats occupied while Krissy is working in the office.

They both cannot wait for the day they get to say I Do and start the rest of their lives together.
