Ben's Chili Bowl- 1213 U St NW (Best place in DC, and a must-visit for out-of-towners; Where we were going to originally have our wedding before the guest list got too big; Tyrone's place of work for 8 years!)

Busboys and Poets- 14th & V St NW (One of our favorite local spots and where we had our first date!)

Malcolm X/Meridian Hill Park- 15th & W St NW (Where we got engaged and a park we spent a lot of time at when the world was shut down with COVID)

Tatte- 14th & W St NW (Bakery and coffee shop; If you need a little something before the reception)

After the wedding

Soussi's- 18th St NW & Kalorama (Tyrone's favorite lounge- Drinks, Hookah, Great view of Adams Morgan)

Insomnia Cookie- 18th St NW & Belmont (Our favorite spot in Adam's Morgan for sweet treats)

Just a bit farther if you are staying in town

Outdoor monuments/memorials (along Constitution Ave... We usually start at the Washington Monument on 15th & Constitution and go to the World War II Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial. The Jefferson Memorial on the Tidal Basin is also beautiful with the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in walking distance.)

Free Museums: African American Museum (free timed tickets), Natural History Museum (no tickets needed), Botanical Gardens (no tickets needed and Kristen's favorite), Smithsonian Castle (no tickets needed and Tyrone's favorite), Air and Space Museum, Native American Museum
