We met at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where we were on the same research team working on a robotics project. Kristen was entering her senior year as a Computer Engineering major, and Adam was entering his sophomore year as an Electrical Engineering major.

The research team did not spend too much time together in the Fall, but in the Spring semester the work really kicked off. Long meetings working on research led to us spending more time together. Eventually we were meeting up outside of research, and we'd spend hours talking to each other.
Just a few months into the Spring semester, we started dating! We then spent our spring break hiking in Georgia, and then took a road trip to New Orleans.

That spring, Kristen graduated and moved to Dallas, TX to begin working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Texas Instruments.

Adam was still finishing his degree at Georgia Tech. This meant the start of a long-distance relationship, but we both loved each other enough that we wanted to make it work.

Long-distance was tough, but it's true when they say distance makes the heart grow fonder. We alternated trips between Dallas and Atlanta, and enjoyed the time we got to spend with each other.

Two years into our relationship, Adam graduated with his Bachelor's and had only one more year to go to obtain his Master's in Electrical Engineering. We were in the home stretch of long-distance!

Adam happened to be visiting Dallas when the pandemic put the world into a lockdown. He finished up the semester and graduated remotely with his Master's degree. Fortunately he had a job lined up at Texas Instruments as a Analog Design Engineer - He was able to move to Dallas full-time!

Being together in Dallas is such a joy, as we matured in our lives, careers, and our relationship. We learned to lift each other up (haha) through the good and the bad.

Earlier in 2022, our dog of 4 years passed away from a heart disease.
The house didn't feel the same without a four-legged companion, so a few months later we decided to adopt puppy Arlo ♥

We've been so fortunate to build our lives together and have opportunities to travel. We eventually took our first international trip, and visited Adam's sister's family in Australia.

In December of 2023, Adam proposed in the comfort and privacy of our home. It was a complete surprise for Kristen, she was out of the house for the day while Adam decorated the house. Once Kristen got home, a trail of flowers and lights led her to the backyard, where Adam was waiting on one knee. He proposed, and of course Kristen said yes!

Good job Adam! 💍

We kicked off 2024 by deciding to adopt Henry, a dog we had found wandering our street several months prior. By this point, he was fully a part of our family.

We're now living happily in our home in the heart of Dallas. We enjoy daily dog walks through our neighborhood, being able to ride our bikes to the lake, and peaceful evenings catching up on our favorite shows, playing video games, or reading a book.

We're looking forward to 2025, and counting down the days until I Do!
