Things to Do

Austin is a great city, with plenty of wonderful outdoor activities, delicious food and drink, and many events always going on around town.

Below are some of our recommendations! However while you're in Texas, we definitely hope you have the opportunity to grab some Tex-Mex or BBQ, have a margarita, and enjoy the outdoors.

For those inclined, check out a Google Map view for a longer list of all favorite things to do and restaurants and bars to visit in Austin! https://maps.app.goo.gl/R9XNPK6xq5zfQ3ad9

East 6th: Great option for dinner followed by a bar or brewery. Lazarus Brewing is a common go-to for us in the area. Central Machine works is further East but another favorite.

Rainey St: More relaxed bar-scene made up of bungalows repurposed for bars and restaurants. Haven't gone wrong with the bars there.
