The photo on the home page is of Scotland's St. Andrews pier. Resting beneath the overhanging cliffs and remains of St. Andrews castle.

Thanksgiving Day 2017, the plan went into action. Roses bought to carpet the long walk out. Candles to line both sides and light our way. Crystal wine glasses to shelter the flames from the wind. A nephew/ godson to help set it all up. A family to run interference with Kristen before bringing her out to supposedly meet up for a "family portrait".

Then the wind won.

Rose petals blew. Candles refused to stay lit. The family arrived anyway. And despite said nephew/ godson offering to throw himself in the water in order to distract and give a reason to race back to the Air B&B so that we could attempt it all the following day...

the proposal went forth.

He knelt. And she said yes. Because it is not about every moment being perfect... but two people being perfect for each other.
