The photo on the home page is of Scotland's&nbsp;St. Andrews pier.&nbsp; Resting beneath the&nbsp;overhanging cliffs and&nbsp;remains of&nbsp;St. Andrews castle.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Thanksgiving Day 2017, the plan&nbsp;went into action.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Roses bought to carpet the long walk out.&nbsp; Candles to line both sides and&nbsp;light our way.&nbsp; &nbsp;Crystal wine glasses to shelter&nbsp;the flames&nbsp;from the wind.&nbsp; A nephew/ godson to help set it all up.&nbsp; A family to run interference with Kristen before bringing her out to supposedly meet up for a "family portrait".

Then the wind won.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; 

Rose petals blew.&nbsp; Candles refused to stay lit.&nbsp; The family arrived anyway.&nbsp; And despite said nephew/ godson offering to throw himself in the&nbsp;water in order to distract and give a reason to race back to the Air B&B so that we could attempt it all the following day...

the proposal went forth.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He knelt.&nbsp; And she said yes. Because it is not about every moment being perfect... but two people being perfect for each other.
