Only for exchanging to peso (Mexican currency). If you bring dollars, bring crisp/clean $50 or $100 bills for currency exchange. Otherwise there are atm machines at local banks throughout the city where peso's can be withdrawn. You can sometimes also exchange currency at some local markets in California (i.e. Northgate market).
