Our Wedding

Our story goes way back—preschool, in fact. We were just two little kids sharing crayons and snack time, while our moms organized playdates and lunch meetups. Though life took us in different directions during elementary school, fate had its own plans. We ended up in the same 5th grade class, and that’s where things started to fall into place… at least for one of us.Frank spent most of middle school trying his hardest to win me over—but let’s just say, his long hair wasn’t exactly working in his favor. Still, he never gave up.Fast forward to the summer after sophomore year of high school. While Frank was away at a baseball tournament, he started texting me. Something felt different this time. We couldn’t stop talking, and by October 2015, we officially became a couple. From that moment on, we experienced all of life’s big moments side by side: proms, high school graduation, college years, and everything in between.After nearly a decade of growing together, I accepted a full-time teaching position in Islip—a dream I had worked so hard for—and Frank began his journey into law enforcement at the Suffolk Police Academy. We were building not just careers, but a life we had always envisioned, side by side.Then came April 2024—our second trip to Mexico together. We had barely been at the hotel for 20 minutes when Frank, true to form, started complaining about the heat and insisted he needed to change into his bathing suit. Little did I know, he was also making sure to grab his suitcase... with the ring hidden inside.After we checked in, we took a walk around the resort to explore. And there, right in front of the colorful Cancun sign with the crystal-clear water sparkling behind us, Frank got down on one knee. It was the easiest “yes” of my life, and the wedding planning began!Since then, life has only gotten sweeter. We brought home our puppy, Jager, who instantly became the center of our world. And now, we just bought our first home together—building not just a future, but a place to call ours.
