Even though the address for the cabin is Cody, it is actually up Chief Joseph Highway, about 60 miles northwest of Cody, WY. This is a very special location with beautiful views of Pilot Peak and Index Peak. From here the NE entrance of Yellowstone National Park is only 23 miles up the road.

If you are coming from Cody, WY, head North on 16th Street towards Rumsey Avenue. In 0.4 miles, turn left onto WY 120 W. Drive 16. 4 miles on HWY 120 and turn left onto Chief Joseph HWY 296. Continue on Chief Joseph HWY and enjoy the beautiful scenery for 40 miles. After 40 miles you will cross over the Clarks Fork River and you will see Painters Outpost immediately on your right. The route to the wedding will be clearly marked. Just follow the signs. Take a right at the Painters Outpost. Continue on the dirt road past the trailer park. After you pass the trailer park you will come to a gated entrance and the road will fork. Take the left fork. After the fork you will see signs for parking. Please park within the limits of the signs marking the area. Parking is limited by the cabin, so we would appreciate everyone parking below. Enjoy a short nature walk up the road about 300 yards to Tom and Toni Hankins Cabin! For those who need assistance up the road to the cabin, we will have a shuttle. For those of you who are coming from out of town, there are many beautiful scenic ways you can get to the wedding. If you are coming from Montana, I recommend going through Red Lodge, MT. The famous Beartooth All American Highway (212) has breathtaking views. Take HWY 212 out of Red Lodge and continue 50 miles- prepare to be amazed. Turn left on Crandall Rd/Sunlight Basin Rd/Chief Joseph HWY 296. Continue for 6 miles and look for the turn to Painters Outpost that will be on your left. Turn left onto the dirt road and follow the wedding signage.

If you are coming from the South end of the state, you may want to go through Jackson, WY and Yellowstone on your way to the wedding. Plan to take your time if you choose this route. Enjoy the Grand Tetons and take the South entrance into Yellowstone. Take the whole day exploring Yellowstone as you make your way out of the Northeast gate by Cook City, MT. From Cooke City take HWY 296 and continue 23 miles to the wedding destination.
