One of Greg and I's favorite things to do when in Newport is to take an audio set tour of the historical mansions! They are gorgeous and have so much history. Some of our favorites are the Marble house and Elms.
Another favorite of ours is the cliff walk. The is a famous public acccess path that combines the beauty of Newport's shoreline with the architectural history! If you are interested in getting outside and getting some exercise would highly recommend bundling up and taking a brisk walk or jog around the cliff walk.
There are so many great restaurants that are open year round in Newport. Greg and I's absolute favorite is the Clarke Cooke House. This is where Greg took me the night we got engaged, it is also extremely cozy in the fall and winter months. Other favorites are Midtown, Malt, The Black Pearl for chowder, Scales for fresh seafood year round, or Diego's for brunch! Please see the website below for top 10 restaurants in Newport for additional ideas!
If you are staying an extended period of time or feel your schedule permits you to hit the links; Newport National is a fantastic place to golf and is open to the public, its one of Greg's favorites!
Here you will find.. Where to stay, where to eat, where to drink, things to do, attractions, beaches... everything Newport has to offer! Newport is incredibly charming all year round and we hope you have time to take advantage of all is has to offer, even in the crisper fall season!
