Kristina and her sister Sarah were going for drinks at Maggie’s on the River. When they walked in they saw a friend who had went to their high school sitting at a table with a gentleman sitting next to him. After Kristina and Sarah got drinks from the bar they decided to go say hello to the friend they had went to school with. Michael had us sit with them and we hung out for hours. This is how Kristina and Dustin had met. During this time Dustin learned Kristina volunteered at Sacred Heart Church with her mom at Bingo.

During Kristina’s next shift at Bingo, Dustin showed up with a buddy and walked down the line for Bingo tickets. Dustin and his buddy Chris stood out among all the elderly bingo players. Once Kristina finished selling the tickets she left with her mom while Dustin and Chris stayed to play. Dustin asked Kristina out on their very first date.

June 15th, 2018 they became boyfriend and girlfriend. Since then they had been together ever since. On February 22nd 2020 they took home their German Shepherd, Lyra. Somehow Kristina talked Dustin into getting a cat even though he had hated cats his whole life. On October 15th, 2021 they took home their first cat Archie. Then on December 11th, 2022 Kristina talked Dustin into letting her take in a stray cat that they named Lucy. Lucy came as a sign from her aunt Sister Cecilia Marie who had passed on November 26th, 2022.

On December 15th 2023, Dustin called Kristina at work and told her to come home early to pack her bags for a surprise overnight. Dustin took her to Saranac Lake and he took her to dinner and then a sleigh ride through the snow. After the sleigh ride Dustin had gotten down on one knee in front of the horses and proposed to Kristina where she said YES!

During their time together over 5 and a half years they have had so many amazing memories. So much fun just being themselves and truly being each other’s best friend. Some of their favorite memories include horseback riding, an ATV tour where they got drenched head to toe, parasailing, railroad biking, going to Mirabeau spa, cutting down their Christmas trees, concerts, seeing the comedian Gabriel Igleias for their first date, spending time with their loved ones and countless spontaneous ice cream runs. During this time they also overcame hardships such as family loss, illness, health scares, job changes, house fixes, and stress that comes along with Dustin’s job.

Through it all they have come out on top. They can’t wait to commit to each other through the sacrament of Matrimony with their closest family and friends on August 31st, 2024. As well as to start the next chapters of their lives as the Thomas’.
