For the Christian Wedding: We kindly ask our guests to wear formal attire. For men, this could mean a suit or tuxedo, and for women, a long gown or dress or dressy jumpsuit. We want you to feel glamorous and ready to celebrate! Please avoid casual clothing like jeans, sneakers, or t-shirts. Think of it as a chance to dress up and make wonderful memories with us! One small note: in keeping with tradition, we’re reserving white for bridal attire. Thank you for helping us keep this little custom!
For the Indian Wedding: We’d love for you to join us in vibrant celebration! If you have Indian attire or would like to wear something traditional for the occasion, feel free to do so! For women, this might include a saree, lehenga, or salwar kameez, and for men, a sherwani, kurta, or similar outfit. However, there’s absolutely no pressure—formal attire is also perfectly appropriate. For the Gurdwara, please make sure that what you are wearing covers your legs and shoulders. If possible, please bring a scarf to cover your head whilst in the Gurdwara. Please note: in the Gurdwara, we will be sitting on the floor, so please wear something that you will be comfortable doing this in. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable and ready to celebrate with us! One small note: in Indian weddings, red is traditionally reserved for the bride, so we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing red for this ceremony. People typically avoid wearing all white or all black outfits to an Indian wedding, though a black suit is totally fine! Any other bright, festive colors are welcome and encouraged! Please note: in the Gurdwara, heads, legs and shoulders must be covered. If possible, please bring a scarf to cover your head with. We will have limited extra chunnis and scarves available. We will provide head coverings for men.
