Our story

Jose and I first met while working, I was studying and he tried to impress me with his diabetes.

We sat together at a party and talked for hours, the night faded around us but neither had noticed until we were being kicked out by the host.

Okay Groom taking over... So, what really happened is that i spotted Krystal struggling with an anatomy book of internal organs so i offered some knowledge. The topic was the human heart, so I brought up some basic ventricular, atrium, bicuspid valve info (you know, the basics of the heart) when i dazzled her enough to leave an amazing impression. Well, that was how we started and yes i did impress her by being diabetic (who knew). Anyways, that was simple boy meets girl. She was enamored and who could blame her.

Months later we met again at a mutual friend's party. We began talking and this time, I was intrigued. We spoke for hours and didn't stop until our host politely interrupted us by joining in and it was not until that moment that we realized that our friends, and the other guests had already left. Honestly it was the thing of movies, we truly were in a world of our own and we were both impacted by this moment.

We realized that something unique had happened and neither could understand it. Eventually I would have an opportunity to promote in my field but would have to take a position in Norther California. Uncertain of how this would impact our relationship, but needing this step up the corporate ladder, I took the job and to my surprise Krystal was just as determined as I to make our newfound relationship work. For several months, Krystal and I shared efforts to travel to see each other and made adjustments to our schedules to accommodate more time with one and other.

This traveling was taxing but showed that our love was true. Krystal eventually met with the most important people in my life, Andrew and Samantha. I was thrilled at how well they got along pretty much immediately! After this i was ready to ask Krystal to move in with me and she said "yes"!

Though life in NorCal was not for either of us, being with each other was just like the night of the party, we were in our own world and made life way better for both of us.

After 5 years, I finally proved my salt to FedEx and was given a job back home "Yayyy!!". now we were back with our friends and family and our familiar surroundings we missed so very much!

The greatest moment we enjoyed was going to amusement parks during Halloween. Our first year back we were super excited that we wouldn't have to bear a 6-hour drive back to NorCal after visiting a theme park. The excitement was exceeded by the fact that I planned to propose which was more nerve wracking than any maze or ride the park could ever produce. Under my best friend's advice (also the best man). I proposed at the entry of the park where there is a makeshift paparazzi of park workers armed with cameras. In front of hundreds of people, I knelt down on one knee and anxiously stuttered "K-Krys-Krystal... would you marry me?" The crowd went bananas (i had her now, how could she say no in front of all these people?) After carefully examining the ring (I'm joking, Shes blind at night), Trying to hide here nervous laugh, she nodded, and I think she said "yes" (she speaks super softly).

So now here we are, 8 years after we met to feed you guys tacos and get you drunk, cheers!
