Chris and Samy’s paths crossed years ago through mutual family and friend connections, but they never had a real chance to get to know each other. Over time, life moved on and so did they but something always lingered.Eventually, they reconnected. What began as a simple conversation quickly grew into something more. Their early days were filled with long walks, shared laughter, and a sense that this time, the timing was right. One evening, during one of their favorite walks, Chris asked Samy to be his girlfriend and she said yes.

How We Met

By the time they had been together for a few years, the idea of marriage felt natural. They talked about it often though Samy, being the planner she is, didn’t love surprises. Chris, on the other hand, was determined to pull one off.In the fall of 2024, they planned a sightseeing trip through some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes in California, Nevada, and Utah. One morning, they drove to Valley of Fire State Park. With red rock formations and wide open skies, it was the perfect place to stop for a photo or so Samy thought.As they set up their tripod and posed, Chris turned on video instead of the timer. Then he started speaking. Samy didn’t realize what was happening until he reached into his bag, pulled out the ring, and dropped to one knee.She was completely stunned and said yes.Somehow, Chris pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. And it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Note for Local Guests Staying at the Hotel If you are able to drive yourself to the church, we kindly encourage you to do so to help reserve shuttle space for our out-of-town guests who may not have transportation. After the church ceremony, we ask that all hotel guests use the shuttle from the hotel to the reception venue.
