Welcome to our Wedding Website! We are so excited to share our day with you! After 11 years, we are FINALLY tying the knot! Throughout our wedding weekend you will be able to experience the richness of Indian and Greek cultures through food and dance, small ode's to our favorite hobbies, and some of the most fulfilling parts of our relationship (our dog and travel, because if you know us, those are truly the only things we care about lol, besides our closest friends and family of course) We are so excited to spend the day with our closest family and friends and dance the night away celebrating our love!

Our Wedding

Kyle&nbsp;and&nbsp;Prianka's&nbsp;story&nbsp;starts&nbsp;when&nbsp;they&nbsp;both&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;hang&nbsp;out&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;friends&nbsp;to&nbsp;play&nbsp;basketball&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;YMCA,&nbsp;and&nbsp;became&nbsp;friends&nbsp;themselves&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;soon&nbsp;after.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;friendship&nbsp;became&nbsp;stronger&nbsp;and&nbsp;over&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;years&nbsp;in&nbsp;middle&nbsp;school,&nbsp;they&nbsp;then&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;start&nbsp;officially&nbsp;dating&nbsp;on&nbsp;November&nbsp;19,&nbsp;2013. Ever&nbsp;since&nbsp;then,&nbsp;they&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;joined&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;hip.&nbsp;From&nbsp;continuing&nbsp;through&nbsp;high&nbsp;school&nbsp;together,&nbsp;to&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;Temple&nbsp;University,&nbsp;to&nbsp;studying&nbsp;abroad&nbsp;they&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;inseparable.&nbsp;Kyle&nbsp;popped&nbsp;the&nbsp;question&nbsp;in&nbsp;Joshua&nbsp;Tree&nbsp;National&nbsp;Park&nbsp;on&nbsp;their&nbsp;9&nbsp;year&nbsp;dating&nbsp;anniversary,&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;are&nbsp;so&nbsp;excited&nbsp;to&nbsp;continue&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;travelling&nbsp;together. The&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;them&nbsp;are&nbsp;so&nbsp;excited&nbsp;for&nbsp;you&nbsp;all&nbsp;to&nbsp;join&nbsp;them&nbsp;on&nbsp;their&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;day&nbsp;and&nbsp;continue&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;more&nbsp;memories&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;their&nbsp;life&nbsp;together.

For those traveling for the occasion, we have two hotel blocks (Friday-Sunday). Both of these hotels are located in the same location and are a 15 minute drive to Appleford &amp; Kyle and Prianka's home's for the Pre-events. We have hotel blocks at both of the hotels but they are on a first come first served basis, please reach out to Kyle + Prianka if you have any questions or issues booking hotels. Haldi Ceremony 

The Haldi ceremony, also known as Pithi ceremony is a cherished pre-wedding ritual deeply rooted in Indian culture.&nbsp; During the Haldi ceremony, a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, rose water, and other auspicious ingredients is applied to the bride and groom's bodies. This paste is believed to cleanse and purify them, while also bringing a natural glow to their skin before their wedding day.&nbsp; &nbsp;Family members, relatives, and close friends gather around the couple in a joyful and festive atmosphere and take turns applying the Haldi paste on the bride and groom's face, arms, hands, and feet. The yellow color of turmeric is considered auspicious and symbolizes prosperity, fertility, and warding off evil spirits. After the application of Haldi, the bride or groom usually takes a ceremonial bath to wash off the paste. Sometimes, the water used for the bath is infused with herbs or rose petals for added auspiciousness and fragrance. The Haldi ceremony is a tradition that brings families and friends together to celebrate the upcoming union of the bride and groom with love, blessings, and joy.

Mehendi Ceremony

A Mehendi ceremony is a joyous and colorful pre-wedding ritual celebrated predominantly in Indian culture. It typically takes place a day or two before the wedding ceremony itself and is a gathering filled with music, dance, laughter, and intricate henna designs. Close family members and friends coming together to adorn the bride's hands and feet with elaborate henna patterns. The designs range from traditional motifs to contemporary styles, each symbolizing blessings, love, and good luck for the bride's upcoming marriage. The darker the color of the bride's mehendi the stronger the love between the couple! During the ceremony, guests often participate in singing traditional songs, applying henna to their own hands, and enjoying traditional food and sweets.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Pre-Wedding Event Details 

Given many of you will be attending an Indian wedding for the first time, we wanted to provide you with some guidance on attire for each event. Please note that we will be getting married in June when the weather in Philadelphia will be warm. A majority of our events are taking place outside so please choose appropriate footwear and clothing! While it's not a requirement to wear Indian attire for our events, if you'd like to fully embrace Indian culture we've included a guide below with some details you might find to be helpful.

If you choose not to wear Indian attire: Pre-Wedding EventsSundresses and long skirts for women or linen pants/ casual pants for men are recommended. Please no shorts, t-shirts, or jeans. Ceremony + ReceptionPlease dress in summer formal wear. Our wedding is a celebration of our love and an opportunity for our friends and family to experience both our cultures.
