Q + A

When do I need to RSVP By?

Due to accommodating for space, food and seating, we ask that you please kindly RSVP for our wedding no later than July 22, 2024.

When should I arrive at the venue?

Please plan to arrive at The Farm at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts. The ceremony venue is in the very back part of the land & the commute to the ceremony area will take additional time. There will be signage posted at our venue to guide you to our parking lot.

What Should I Wear?

We know our guests are going to look fantastic! We ask that our guests please dress in semi-formal/cocktail attire and please avoid all-white outfits. Women who may opt to wear a heeled shoe, please consider choosing a wide heel or wedge due to our venue being exclusively on a grass landscape.

Can I bring a date?

All guests and plus one's will be reflected on your invitation and RSVP. We are having assigned seating for dinner and limited space, so any guests not reflected on your invitation will not be accounted for.

Which airport should I fly into?

As we have many loved one's traveling near and far to celebrate with us, we want the travel to be as smooth as possible. Minneapolis/St.Paul Airport: MSP airport is most accessible from multiple airlines. MSP is a 3.5 hour drive to Grand Rapids. Duluth International Airport: Duluth airport will most likely have connecting flights in and out of Minneapolis for wherever you are coming from! Duluth, MN is a 1.5 hour drive to Grand Rapids. Please feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom for assistance or any further questions regarding your travels!

Are kids welcome?

If your child is invited, it will be reflected on your invitation and RSVP.

Can we take photo's on our phone or camera?

We have hired a wonderful photographer to capture our ceremony. We please ask that all guests partake in our "unplugged" ceremony and please refrain from taking photos, videos, etc. during our ceremony. During the reception, we encourage our guests to take any photos and videos they wish! We are so excited to see all of them!

What weather should I dress for?

August in northern Minnesota is typically in the 75°-80° range. We encourage guests to bring an extra layer if needed due to a chilly evening or rain.

Will there be an open bar?

The drinks are on us! We ask that if you are able, to please consider tipping your bartenders. We hope everyone takes the opportunity on our wedding night to celebrate, catch up with friends & family and have fun! Our one request is please do not drink and drive. Please coordinate prior to our wedding how you will be getting to your final destination at the end of the night. Keep in mind that Grand Rapids is a small town and there are no rideshare app options available.

What should I expect on my way to the ceremony area?

We are so excited to share our beautiful day with all of you. In true Minnesota nature, we have opted to get married LITERALLY in the middle of the woods. That being said, we will be providing transport via golf cart to and from our ceremony area from the parking lot. We kindly ask that if you are willing and able, please take the trail by foot and enjoy the natural beauty of The Farm. For our guests who are older or experience troubles with walking distances, please take full advantage of the golf cart rides! Should you need further accommodations due to disability and you would like to avoid the additional transportation, please reach out to the Bride or Groom and we will be able to let you know ahead of time where you can park.
