We met: Kyle and Jennifer met going to the same Young Adult Group at Brooklife Church in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Kyle ended up at the Young Adult Group after Nate asked him if he wanted to be a part of the group in the summer. He was going to say no until he saw Nate in the Father's Day Parade and said yes. Jennifer used to drive past Brooklife everyday on her way to work. She was looking for a church after moving to the area and ended up at Brooklife. She sent an email to the church and was recommended to join the Young Adult Group that was just starting up. She didn't know anyone there but ended up enjoying the group. Kyle and Jennifer would see each other frequently at the group and ended up getting to know each other over time. It was the group and seeing each other on Sundays (where Kyle would work as a roaming camera operator) that they became closer.

Our first date: Jennifer and Kyle went to David Alan Alan's in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. They were absolute chatter boxes and delayed ordering for about 45 minutes because they did not look at the menu only kept talking. Finally they ordered and enjoyed a nice meal before heading to the Milwaukee Brewers game. The Brewers took on the Huston Astros and won 6 to 0. They chatted all night and even snapped a couple pictures. They had so much fun. That night all the way home they talked about what we wanted to do that summer and how much they were excited to do it together. Kyle will debate that this was not their first date until they die! They called it an adventure all the way up to the point that they pulled back into the driveway of the Lake house, and he asked to be to be his girlfriend. Jennifer said yes of course!!

Our first kiss: They met at the Subway in Palmyra and brought it to Paradise Springs Park in Eagle, Wisconsin. Kyle had just come back from a trip from Kentucky. They walked around the park and chatted and enjoyed the beautiful landscape. Then they went out on the pier, and he kissed her.

Our first "I love you": Kyle and Jennifer would spend a lot of time together at the Lake house in those early weeks. From fishing, to chatting, to watching movies. The movie of choice on that day was Groundhog Day. Kyle informed Jennifer he had not seen it and that needed to be addressed. After the movie they were talking and Kyle turned to Jennifer and said, "I love you". Without hesitation Jennifer said it back.

Our first road trip: Kyle made Jennifer's 25th birthday very special. One day Kyle asked Jennifer where she would like to go if she could go anywhere. She expressed that "one day" she would like to go to Washington D.C to see the Smithsonian Museums. He took that "one day" and said why don't we go your birthday weekend? Jennifer was shocked but over the moon. So Kyle and Jennifer loaded into his car and drove out to D.C on September 8th, explored D.C on September 9th and 10th and drove home on September 11th. A crazy amazing trip full of joy and lots of happy memories. It showed that they were not afraid to adventure together and to road trip which would become a theme going forward.

First Packer's game: Kyle took Jennifer to her first Packer's game! :)

Six months: It seemed fitting that their 6-month anniversary would fall on Thanksgiving that year. Kyle and Jennifer were so grateful that year to have found each other and to get to enjoy all the memories they were making together. They went to dinner on November 27th to celebrate at Bonefish grill.

Passion Trip: Kyle and Jennifer went on a trip to Atlanta, Georgia with some of the members of their Young Adult group for Passion! Another road trip this time to celebrate their love for the Lord! It was an amazing experience full of the Holy Spirit moving and growth in their faith.

LET'S GO ADMIRALS: Jennifer started to going to Admiral's games again with her parents. They have gone to many since Kyle and Jennifer started their relationship. Jennifer and her mom enjoy chatting and watching a certain camera man and Jennifer's dad enjoys watching the games. They always have a great time, and it offered a time to watch Kyle in his groove, and to cheer on the Ads.

One year together: Kyle and Jennifer headed to Green Bay, Wisconsin to celebrate their 1st anniversary. They were so excited to celebrate! This was also the trip they got tattoos together, Jennifer her collections number and Kyle his dragon.

Fishing and Cribbage: Kyle helped Jennifer find a love for fishing. From one of their first date's on they enjoyed fishing together. Kyle was very patient with Jennifer teaching her how to cast and catch fish. One of their adventures included heading to the Northwoods for the St. Croix fishing pole customer appreciation day. Kyle and Jennifer both came home with fishing poles. Other highlights from that trip included seeing the home of the HODAG and acquiring a Hodag cribbage board. Kyle also taught Jennifer to play cribbage. He had played for a long time and she was eager to learn. This was the first cribbage board that started their collection of cribbage boards.

Trip to the other D.C: For Kyle's 25th Birthday Jennifer took Kyle to Door County, Wisconsin. This was somewhere they both wanted to get to together. Highlights included cribbage, a shipwreck kayak tour, cider tasting, marking Andersen Barn, and a curvy ride to the tip the state.

We moved in together: Jennifer was living in an apartment in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Kyle was looking to move out of his parents' house. Kyle had been looking for apartments in the area. After much discussion, excitement, and a lunch date they made the decision to move Kyle into Jennifer's apartment. Jennifer made room with all of her craft stuff, gallery wall and "grandma couch" and the rest was history.

Our first apartment: After Kyle and Jennifer had lived together in Mukwonago they decided to move to an apartment together in a better location for both of them. They decided to move to Elkhorn to a bigger place with a bigger kitchen. They moved over the course of March and made the final move after Emily and Alex's wedding on March 23rd. They were thrilled to be in a new place and have fallen in love with the area.

Two years!: Kyle and Jennifer are happy to have their anniversary fall on May 23rd. This is the 143rd day of the year. 143 is a Mister Roger's number ( I=1 LOVE=4 YOU=3). They did not intentionally have 143 day be their anniversary but LOVE that it is.

ROAD TRIP: Kyle and Jennifer took a very fun road trip heading west. With stops at Custer State Park, Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore National Landmark, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower National Monument, Yellowstone National Park, and several museums. They had a blast and realized just how small they are. They spent 72 hours in the car, hiked about 20 miles and had so much time laughing and adventuring together.

He asked and she said yes!: Kyle and Jennifer went on their annual camping trip to Castle Rock Lake July 23rd- July 27th. They enjoyed the beautiful weather, swimming and boating, a trip to the Dells and spending time with friends and family. On Saturday they spent the morning playing camp games in the "Camp Olympics" in the summer heat. By the end of the games they were ready to change and take showers so they could take some group pictures with Jordan, Austin and Dani, something they discussed wanting to do that week. So they got ready and took a walk down by the water and beach. They got some really cute pictures and enjoyed the beauty of the lake. Then they were looking at the water to get a cute picture looking at the lake and Jennifer was sticking her tongue out at Kyle trying to kiss him. He said "Or we could do this" and got down one knee. Jennifer was shocked and despite all of the signs that maybe this would happen in that moment did not catch them. BUT OF COURSE SHE SAID YES. Then they walked a little bit more taking in the moment. They then went back to the camp site where there was a surprise engagement celebration at the campsite. It was so special to celebrate such an amazing day.
