Is the resort family friendly?
Yes, The Reefs Playacar is a family friendly (all inclusive) resort and we have some wonderful kids on the invite list!
How long will the bride and groom be staying?
We are going to be there from May 19-31 2025 as we plan to use this trip as part of our honeymoon as well. Feel free come whenever works best for you and stay however long!
Do we have to stay at The Reef resort or can we stay somewhere else?
No you do not have to stay at The Reef's resort to attend the wedding, although you will incur additional fees in order to enter the resort to attend the wedding. We will need to be informed if you choose to stay elsewhere as this will impact the wedding package terms and services. Please let us know if you plan to stay somewhere else as soon possible (no later than a month before the wedding).
Is there a dress code?
No, there is no dress code - any colours are fine. We will be having our ceremony on the beach, followed by food/drinks and dancing. Please dress in lightweight comfortable attire as we expect it to be a beautiful sunny day!
Are you accepting wedding gifts and/or have a registry?
We do not have a registry, however if you would like to provide a wedding gift, we would appreciate anything you'd like to give. That being said we are not expecting anything as we know destination weddings are already financially more demanding of our guests than a local wedding. If you do plan to give something, it is probably best not to bring it to the resort for safety purposes. They can be given prior or post wedding in person or mailed to our address - let us know if you have any questions regarding these arrangements.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, due to the limited numbers of guests the wedding package can accommodate, we are not allowing plus ones. We are very excited to celebrate with our families and close friends!
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please complete your RSVP by Oct 31, 2024 so we can give our wedding coordinator at the resort plenty of time to plan out details for our big day.
