Nick and Kylie first connected online in 2019, when Kylie came across a photo of Nick swimming with a tiger shark at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. After studying sharks for many years in various places, she knew they’d have a lot in common. They messaged for weeks, exchanging updates, including pictures of Nick’s new puppy, Finn, but never made concrete plans. They were both very content in their lives and had no rush.

By chance, they finally met in person at The Wharf in Fort Lauderdale, while Kylie’s best friend Maddie was in town. While at The Wharf, Kylie’s friend Lauren pointed out a cute puppy across the bar, and Kylie immediately recognized Finn—and then Nick. The girls walked over to say hello, and after hours of conversation, laughter, and playing with Finn, Nick asked Kylie on their first date the next day.

They went to Papa’s Raw Bar in Lighthouse Point and shared sushi and great conversation. From that moment on, they’ve been inseparable, bonding over their love for the ocean. Looking back, the way that weekend unfolded was all by chance. Fate clearly had a hand in bringing them together so effortlessly and naturally!
