Glacier National Park 

Sights to see if you want to drive:

• Apgar Village - get coffee, lunch or ice cream! Enjoy the amazing gift shops. Kayak Lake McDonald or just sit by the shore! Beautiful view of the mountains over the lake and a scenic drive around it as well!

• Going to the Sun road - a scenic drive that goes all the way through glacier national park, see wonderful views, drive through large mountains tunnels and don’t forget to stop at the lookouts for great photo opportunities.

Sights to see if you want to hike (easy hikes) :

• Logan Pass - a walk on the boardwalk of Logan Pass leads to a beautiful overlook of hidden lake and the mountains. This is the closet thing to a glacier hike without the actual trail! The trailhead starts at Logan Pass Visitor Center. Distance - 3 miles Average time of hike - 1.75 hours Elevation Gain - 460 feet Difficulty - Easy Trail type - Out and Back

•Trail of Cedars - An easy, 0.9-mile hike through a beautiful forest of cedar trees, which leads to Avalanche Lake.

Sights to see if you want to hike (moderate) :

• Grinnell Glacier Trail - A moderately challenging, 10-mile roundtrip hike to the foot of Grinnell Glacier, offering beautiful views of lakes, cliffs, and alpine meadows. You can take a boat ride on Swift Current Lake and Lake Josephine to skip the first two miles of the flat trail. You can also trail off to the Grinnell Glacier Overlook for much higher view of Grinnell Glacier. This trail takes an average of 4 - 6 hours.

• Avalanche Lake - A moderate, 6-mile roundtrip hike to a stunning lake surrounded by cliffs and waterfalls. This trail is particularly popular and has a longer season, making it a good option for spring and fall visitors. The Trail of the Cedars leads to Avalanche Lake.

Things to do at Glacier

Tick spray is a must while hiking. We learned this the hard way, they are so secluded in the glacier forest they will cling to the first thing they see! After using tick spray we never saw another one! 

Bear spray is a must! This can be purchased at most gift shops or grocery stores in Montana. Especially in August the wildlife will be ready to roam! You can also rent bear spray from the airport or visitor centers.

Wedding Night

Semi-Formal earthy tones! Typically midi or tea length. Think greens, browns, & blues. Nothing too light, it may photograph white! We can’t wait to see you on the best night!  For the guys - time to suit up!
