Tick spray is a must while hiking. We learned this the hard way, they are so secluded in the glacier forest they will cling to the first thing they see! After using tick spray we never saw another one!

Bear spray is a must! This can be purchased at most gift shops or grocery stores in Montana. Especially in August the wildlife will be ready to roam! You can also rent bear spray from the airport or visitor centers.
