Our Wedding

Back in sixth grade...

Joshua and Kylie became friends quickly and before they knew it, they were dating! Well... for 1 day, because Kylie decided it wasn't the right time. She wanted to date an older boy. A seventh grader!

Many years later...

Joshua was given an opportunity to move to Richland and finish up his senior year of high school and his freshman year of college, and moved away in the fall of 2016. That winter he decided to come visit family for Christmas and posted on his snapchat asking if anyone wanted to say hi. Kylie messaged him and they planned to do a winter hike together at Lizard Butte. During that visit, they decided to kinda start seeing each other. They would visit each other at least once a month, riding Greyhound buses, or driving. Kylie was accepted into a college in England and they decided that what they had was good and they didn't want to ruin it with distance, so they made a plan to break up after prom. Now people thought they were crazy, why plan a break up? Well, they did, but once that summer came along, Kylie decided not to go to England and not long after, they started dating again and by September, Kylie moved to Richland to be with Joshua. A few months later, they had their first baby, Avidity.

The family grew

Kylie and Joshua decided to move back to Nampa the summer of 2018. Joshua jazzed up his mom's shed into a little home for them. And as soon as they moved back to Nampa, Joshua thought it would be a good idea to get their next baby, Ghost. Avidity obviously needed a friend. It wasn't long before Joshua went on Craigslist and found a dog who needed rescuing, Grace. Now, Joshua had an amazing idea that fall; that they should go on a road trip! So, they found a tiny teardrop trailer they could pull with a car and decided to start saving money. Now, Kylie had a trip planned to Hawaii that needs to be mentioned here, because when Joshua came to pick her up from the airport the winter before their trip he said you're going to be mad. I got another dog. And then there was Gypsy. And Joshua was banned from Craigslist for awhile.

Road trip time!

During the summer of 2019, over the course of three months, they traveled with the pups down through Utah to Arizona, up through Nevada, to northern California, up the Oregon coast (where the dogs saw the ocean for the first time), and along the Columbia River. Towards the end of their trip they had to decide what they were going to do next. Joshua suggested they try out northern Idaho up in Moscow where Kylie had some family. They decided to try it out and enjoyed a year there.

The current chapter of our lives

They worked for awhile in Moscow/Pullman for about a year before they decided to move to Lewiston. Kylie decided to pursue a degree from Lewis-Clark State College and the two of them found a place that fits their lifestyle of fishing, hunting, and harvesting. They bought a home and have a miniature homestead in the city with eight garden beds, seven chickens, and their other fur babies. In October of 2023, after dating for seven years, Joshua decided it was time to pop the question when they had a nice weekend in the Wallowa's. And now their getting married y'all!

Registry if we want one

We want to first state that we'd recommend not going out and spending a bunch of money on things you don't have. If you are in need of borrowing camping gear, please reach out to Kylie and/or Joshua to see what we can come up with. We have several options. Also, we have to pack out all of our trash so please be mindful of single use products. Here is a list of things we would recommend bringing:- tent/RV- generator for RV- sleeping bag, pillow, and blanket (Winchester gets chilly in the evenings, even in summer)- sleeping pad- flashlight/headlamp- toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, hair brush, deodorant, lotion, feminine products, medications)- sunscreen- bug spray- sunglasses- battery banks and chargers- camping chair (their are several spots to sit, but feel free to bring a camping chair)- towel- baby wipes (if you're a hippie like Kylie, you might bring a few washrags and a homemade liquid soap to clean off instead) Clothes- swimming suit (there are two reservoirs within 10 miles)- your best wedding/dancing outfit- underwear- socks- shoes- shirts- pants- jacket- pj's- whatever extra layers you need :) Camping Kitchen Gear- stove- propane- pot/pan- cutting board- utensils- coffee cup/thermos- plate/bowls- waterbottle- dish soap and scrubby- containers to take food home :) Food- snacks for your travels- meal for Friday potluck (see sign up sheet)- breakfast and lunch for Saturday
