Our wedding will be in Staunton State Park, located in Pine, Colorado. The address is 12102 S Elk Creek Rd, Pine, CO 80470.
The Venue
Our venue is in Staunton State Park, we will be hosting the ceremony at Marmot Burrow Amphitheater and the reception at Ranch Hand Picnic Area which is a short walk away. Plan for unpaved paths to the amphitheater but the entire picnic area will be cemented. With it being in a state park there will be limited access to water and restrooms. Fear not, there is a restroom but it will not be the most glamorous. There is no running water but it is a dedicated bathroom nonetheless. We will have extra hand sanitizer stations in case the park runs out as well as plenty of water.
Attire
Semi Formal attire is requested, we are getting married in the forest and we want you to be comfortable but still look your best for photos. For the men this can still means jeans if you pair it with a jacket. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as there will be some uneven ground (ladies I suggest no 6 inch heels or stilettos) If you are unsure, please feel free to reach out to Kyndall.
Weather
This will be a rain or shine event, we have access to the venue for the entire day so if there is inclement weather we will adjust accordingly. Weather can be a bit unpredictable here in Colorado so we suggest keeping an eye on it when the date gets closer. We will be supplying blankets in case the weather takes a cold turn but we suggest bringing a light jacket as well. We expect temperatures to be in the high 60's to mid 50's. Just remember this is a fairly comfortable temperature here in CO because there is less humidity and we are much closer to the sun.
Access to Venue
The address to the park is 12102 S Elk Creek Rd, Pine, CO 80470. As this is in a state park, we highly suggest carpooling. Upon arriving to the park tell the ranger that you are attending the wedding and they will happily direct you where to go. You can park in two different lots, one is the upper parking lot and the other is by Ranch Hand Picnic Area.
What to Bring
Please dress for somewhat chilly weather, we are not expecting it to be cold but winds can bring in cold breezes. Bring comfortable shoes as some of the walk will be on a trail path that has the potential to get muddy if there is rain. Food, water and alcohol will be provided so no need to worry about that. Most importantly, smiling faces as we can't wait to celebrate with you!
When Should I Arrive?
The ceremony will start at 2pm, we suggest getting there at least 30 minutes early to find a spot and mingle with friends and family.
