Ryan and I met at a friend’s house party. My upstairs neighbor invited me to go to her friend’s Saint Patrick’s Day party. I didn’t have anything to do that day and wanted to meet more people in Hawaii so I decided to go. At the party my neighbor introduced me to her friend Ryan. We started to talk about hiking and beaches in Hawaii which was exciting for me as I had not explored the island as much by then. We decided to hang out and explore the island together. Overtime our friendship blossomed into a loving relationship and now here we are ^^.

His Version:

La Kenya and I met on Saint Patrick’s Day, 2020, during the “before times”. My friend was putting together a party that night and had invited me and her as well. We talked that night about what we liked to do (beach, hiking, etc) and all the things to do on Oahu. Little did we know that Hawaii would shut down due to the pandemic just a few days later. The last beach that was open was on Bellows Air Force Station, so we headed there that weekend and from then on, spent more and more time together, mostly hiking, because it was the only outdoor activity that was still legal during the lockdown. As we spent more and more time together, we found love together. Now, we’re ready to spend the rest of our lives exploring the world together!
