I would recommend getting to Hanksville on the 18th or 19th so you have a some time to settle in before events on the 20th.

The wedding ceremony will take place in southern Utah's Bentonite Hills located just west of Hanksville, Utah, along UT-24E. The ceremony site will be a 20-minute drive from Muddy Creek Mining Co. and may require a short walk. We will be taking N Cow Dung Road (lol) to the ceremony site. This is a dirt/clay road that curves through 7.4 miles of colorful bentonite hills. This road is accessible by 2WD but high clearance is recommended. We do plan to utilize everyone's best carpool skills for this!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car provides easy booking online or through their app. They operate from 7 a.m. to midnight and can be reached at (844) 942-03371. Alamo Rent A Car offers great deals and discounts. Their hours of operation are also from 7 a.m. to midnight, and you can contact them at (844) 942-03352. National Car Rental allows you to skip the counter and choose any car from the aisle. They operate during the same hours and can be reached at (844) 942-03363. Fox Rent A Car is a value-focused, discount car rental company. They have a location near the airport at 460 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT, 84104. Their hours vary, so it’s best to check with them directly at (801) 316-27904. Additionally, there are off-airport rental car agencies that provide shuttle service. These include ACE Rent-A-Car, Affordable, Go Rentals, NU Car Rentals, and Rugged Rental. Their pick-up/drop-off location is west of the Parking Garage5. These are just a few I’ve found, please do your own research!

There are 5 dining options in the town of Hanksville! These include: Bull Mountain Market and Pizzeria, Duke's Slickrock Grill, Mowgli’s Café, Outlaws Roost, and Stan's Burger Shak.

Bull Mountain Market is about a 6 minute walk, or a 1 minute drive down the road from Muddy Creek Mining Co. This is a small store that has a limited selection of groceries but does their best to provide the basics for such a remote area.

On our first trip to Utah, we passed through Hanksville while visiting nearby amazing places, such Canyonlands National Park, Goblin Valley State Park, and Capitol Reef National Park. We loved traveling through this town and its surrounding areas, and cannot wait to return and stay here! To us, Hanksville is the ideal starting point in southern Utah. Hanksville is the place to go whether you like to go hiking, biking, camping, boating, climbing, off-roading, or just plain sightseeing.
