We first met in September of 2017 on the NC State Engineering Career Fair bus. It was love at first sight as we made small talk while stabilizing ourselves on the edges of the bus seats, crowded with nervous college students.
The romance really blossomed as lab partners in our fermentation lab class the second half of that semester, which gave us 5+ hours each lab session to get to know each other.
Our first date was December 8th, 2017, after which Connor promptly moved to Philadelphia for a 6-month co-op.
To celebrate the end of the long-distance beginning of our relationship as well as my graduation from college, we went on our first international trip together to Europe in the summer of 2018.
During 2018-2019, I started working, Connor completed his final year of college, Connor started working, and Connor and I moved in together in October of 2019. This was short-lived, as I moved to Philadelphia in January of 2020 for a year-long work rotation, and again we found ourselves becoming too familiar with the stretch of I-95 between North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
When I moved back in 2021, we moved back in together, this time with the two most perfect cats you will every meet (Tucker and Berry), who Connor adopted while I was away.
Finally together after a few years of moving around, we have enjoyed spending time together playing on recreational sports teams, cooking, trying new restaurants, reading for our book club, travelling, and spending time with our families and friends!
We bought our first house in August of 2022, got engaged in April of 2023, and so began the wedding festivities!
We are so excited to celebrate with everyone in April!
