Downtown Durham is full of cute restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops!

While the wedding will take place at the Duke Gardens, there is much more of the gardens to explore that you won't see at the wedding! The gardens will be particularly pretty this time of year, as the central terraced amphitheater should have tulips!

Southpoint mall is a nice indoor/outdoor shopping mall located in South Durham that has many of the typical mall stores!

The towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro are a short drive from Durham, and also have lots of food and drink options!

Raleigh and Cary both have extensive greenway systems if you are looking for a running, walking, or bike path. Umstead State Park also offers multiple easy hiking trails!
