From Athens International Airport to the Piraeus Port:

- Free-Now App (formerly Beat) or Taxi: Download the Free-Now app if possible, it is a Greek version of Uber (very user friendly, safe, and better priced than Taxis). There is a fixed rate for a Taxi transfer to the port, €56 during the day & €72 overnight. While Uber is sparsely available, we do not recommend using it.

- Metro: Blue Line 3 leaves the airport station (located within a 5-minute walking distance to the main airport terminal via an elevated pedestrian bridge) every 36 minutes, from 06:10 am to 11:34 pm, and heads to Piraeus Station. You can expect to reach Piraeus Port in approximately 58 minutes. One way cost is €9 for adults & €4.5 for children.

- Bus: The cheapest alternative is the airport Bus which directly connects ATH to Piraeus Port. The line runs 24/7 with itineraries every 20-40 minutes, depending on the time of day. The bus route lasts about 90 minutes under normal traffic conditions (could take up to 2 hours with traffic). The airport bus station is situated between Exits 4 and 5 at the Arrivals level and is equipped with ticket kiosks. A single bus ticket costs €5.5 for adults and €2.7 for children.

Getting to the island of Poros:

Ferry to Poros departs from the Piraeus port in Athens. The trip is about 1 hour long. Use the following website to book tickets or find schedules for the ferry: https://www.ferries.gr/en

We recommend you take the FLYING CAT ferry; the price of a one way ticket is about €34.

It is important to search ferries for the island of Poros (not be be confused with the island of Paros)!

If driving into Greece and would like to transport your car to the island, there is a specific ferry that transports vehicles.

Alternatively, if coming with a car and prefer not to take a ferry, from Athens drive to a town called Galatas and let us know so that we can arrange parking for you. The drive is about 2 hours long. Galatas is a town situated on a mainland, only few minutes away from the island of Poros and is a convenient place to leave your car.
