We will be getting married and having our reception at the Melrose Knitting Mill, located at 309 N. Dawson Street in Downtown Raleigh, NC on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

You did! Christmas is our favorite time of year, but things book up so quickly! Also, 12.12.24 is a very satisfying date. Plus, our gift to you is a long weekend in the middle of December.

If you’re flying in from out of town, you will fly into RDU airport or you can take Amtrak to Raleigh’s Union Station. The train station is about 1 mile from the venue and the airport is an easy 20 minute drive.

Great question - the answer is maybe? Downtown Raleigh is very walkable and safe, and Ubers are plentiful. If you want to explore the area further, a car may be useful for you. We just ask that if you choose to drink at the wedding, you walk or take a car service home. We want to see you at our 50th anniversary party!

Unfortunately, the dogs will need to stay home for the big party. But feel free to go and visit them the day after!

Lots of families and tears and happiness. We will have food and drinks and dancing and the weather in is December rarely too cold. This has been a long time coming, and we’re just so happy to share this time with you.
