The first time Laura met Shawn, she was on the opposing medical school sand volleyball intramural team. Her first thought was "ugh why is he so tall and athletic" and her second thought was "crap he can jump serve." We all know she missed the return and Shawn made the point. She refuses to remember how many points he scored on her that game. The second time they met, per Shawn, was in the library when Laura ignored him but said hi to her friends. His feelings were only a little hurt. They began to spend time together while studying for their first medical licensing exam. Though the timing was terrible, they helped each other through that difficult time, and then through residency applications, a cross-country move, raising a puppy (which they will never do again), and training in NYC. They are each other's biggest supporters, fans, best friends and gaming buddies - life has never been more sweet. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you! Cheers!
