Our Wedding

We wouldn't be here today without some of our dearest friends, Michelle and Ethan Olliff. We can't thank them enough! Read on for Our Story, according to them. We had the privilege of setting up our friends. Ethan’s known Laura since they had sandy toes on HHI. Seth came into our lives when he moved to Greenville for work in 2020. We had been wanting to set up Laura and Seth for many months. They were perfect for each other - kind, personable, Boston lovers, family-oriented, and down-to-earth. Laura and Seth knew of each other and seemed open to meeting, but continued to make (reasonable) excuses about logistics.&nbsp; Laura took away one of those logistical barriers when she moved from Boston to Charlotte in 2022. Seth frequented Charlotte for work. While out watching the Kentucky Derby we convinced Seth to seize the day. To lean into love! Laura and Seth met for a beer (Miller most likely). And the rest is history 💗

How to get there

The Savannah airport is about a one hour drive from Hilton Head and is the main airport used by Hilton Head. There are also rental cars available from here if you'd like one for the weekend.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport

This is a small airport on the island that has limited flight options, but we would recommend this airport if you can find a reasonably priced flight!

Where to stay

We recommend staying within Sea Pines (at the south end of Hilton Head Island) for convenience throughout the weekend. The Welcome Party will be in Harbor Town and the shuttle pick up locations will also be within Sea Pines and at the Marriott Courtyard. The only hotel within Sea Pines is The Harbor Town Inn, but we've also reserved a room block at the Marriott Courtyard just outside of Sea Pines. A pass is required for each car to access Sea Pines, however if staying within Sea Pines you will receive one with your reservation. They are also available for purchase for $9. More details below.

The Sea Pines Resort has various house / villa rentals available near Harbour Town and throughout Sea Pines. We recommend booking close to Harbour Town for convenience to restaurants and shops (as well as the Welcome Party and a shuttle pickup for the reception), but anywhere in Sea Pines will be convenient for the weekend and a quick bike ride to the beach, easy access to golfing, shops, and restaurants. These houses and villas provide a great option for families or large groups.

The Sea Pines Resort

Weve reserved a block of rooms for $269.00 per room per night plus tax. Please reference the Cooper/Warren wedding when booking to secure this rate. If staying here, you will not have regular access to Sea Pines unless you pay the $9 fee at the gate. For the Welcome Party, however, you can reference the Cooper/Warren wedding to gain access.

Courtyard by Marriott Hilton Head Island

Right next to the Harbour Town Clubhouse and looking out onto the first tee of the Harbour Town Golf Course. This is a great option for anyone wanting to stay right in Harbour Town. There is no block at this hotel and limited rooms available so please feel free to book directly on their website.

Activities

Positioned next to the iconic Harbour Town lighthouse, this is a great area to wander the local shops, marina, and restaurants! Grab a drink and an appetizer at the new Quarterdeck with a great view of the water, pop into the Crazy Crab for some delicious crab legs, or head over to the Cinnamon Bear where Laura scooped ice cream growing up!

Check out an Americas Cup sailboat, right here in Harbour Town. Check it out on the Harbour Town Pier or take a cruise yourself! Vagabond Cruise gives you the opportunity to step aboard a true America’s Cup 12-meter racing yacht Stars &amp; Stripes designed and skippered by the American sailing legend Dennis Conner. All trips depart from Harbour Town Yacht Basin inside of the Sea Pines Resort so our sailing area is wide open in the beautiful Calibogue Sound.

Hilton Head Island is home to more than 24 championship courses, both public and private. Sea Pines alone has 3 public courses, but if you are looking to play outside of Sea Pines, see below for recommendations! The Groomsman will be playing Heron Point in Sea Pines on Friday morning. If you would like to play this course or Atlantic Dunes or Harbour Town, also within Sea Pines, call 866-561-8802. Outside of Sea Pines, courses we recommend are: Robert Trent Jones Course, Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head, SC Oyster Reef, Hilton Head, SCOld South, Bluffton, SCHilton Head National, Bluffton, SC

Golf

Coligny has the main public beach access on the island, as well as a shopping center with great shops and restaurants. We highly recommend picking up a sub from Stu’s Surfside Subs and a frozen drink from The Frosty Frog to bring to the beach with you!

Coligny Beach Park

Book a sunset cruise to see Hilton Head from the water. Leaving from South Beach Marina in Sea Pines, the Salty Dog Cruise is a great, fun way to see the island from the water. If interested, book quickly as spots fill up fast!
