Where is Comfort Texas?
Established in 1854 and originally named after the German word for "Comfortable", Comfort is about 40 minutes west of San Antonio in the heart of the Texas Hill Country which is full of historic small towns worth a visit. We highly recommend booking/bringing a car for the weekend to get to experience them all.
Flying into Texas
Of Texas's major airports, the following four are closest to Comfort:
San Antonio - Closest airport- about a 45 minute drive to Comfort.
Austin - Second closest- about an hour and 15 minute drive. Austin City Limits music festival is the week immediately following the wedding, this may impact ticket prices and rental car availability.
Houston - Third closest- about a 3-3.5 hour drive, but has two major airports. IAH is a United hub with direct flights from Europe and Hobby is a Southwest hub.
Dallas / Fort Worth - Furthest from Comfort- a 4 hour drive.
Accomodation
We'll be staying on the ranch with our immediate families, a 5-10 minute drive from Comfort's High street. Shuttles to and from the ranch will be arranged for wedding day festivities.
We've booked the two main hotels in town- both bring the Texas charm but Hotel Giles is better for couples and The Meyer Hotel is better for families or larger groups.

There are many options in Comfort and the surrounding areas- Fredericksburg and Boerne will have a wider variety, but are about 25 minutes from Comfort.
